I received a lovely email from one of our Saskatoon customers this morning. She also teaches the Janome Club at Sew & Home in Saskatoon. Linda shared some projects that she has made recently as well as a great project idea she learned at a recent Retreat she attended.
Firstly: She made the “Will cook for Shoes” digitized applique apron last month when I visited Sew & Home in Saskatoon to do the Embroidery seminar. Linda Seemann-Korte put her own spin on the apron: She changed the wording to “SOLE MATES” which I think is rather clever. Take note of how she has used the funky shoe decorative stitch on our NEW Janome Horizon to further embellish her apron. Here is her apron:
Linda has also been busy creating fun little aprons for her grandchildren. She has serious doubts that she can wait until Christmas day to give these as gifts…..we can see why!
Linda also had this to share: she discovered a great new technique of doing circles at a Retreat that she attended recently. The class was based on the book “Sizzling Circles” by Lacey J. Hill . However, Linda thought that perhaps she could adapt the technique and use the Janome Circular Attachment to do the lovely projects she has completed below.
Such a great use for the circle attachment and much faster than free hand sewing all those circles. Also great since I am allergic to hand sewing and the only hand sewing on this bag was the buttons. That too could have been avoided if I had used buttons that I could sew on by machine! I’ll have to think of that for next time!
Thank you, Linda, for this SHOW & TELL – we love seeing projects other folk have done…..it inspires us all.
