Janome at the Victoria Show

We have just returned from a cold and very snowy Victoria where the annual Victoria Sewing Show was held.  We worked on the Sawyer Sewing Center Janome booth. It was great to meet Vancouver Island Janome friends  and assist many folk with their queries and purchases of a new Janome sewing machine.

This year we also offered a make-and-take-it so that interested folk could sit down at the Janome Horizon QCP7700 and try-before-you-buy! An excellent way to “test drive” one of our machines.   We made useful luggage tags (see pic below) that will really be a big help in identifying a suitcase at the airport luggage carousel! The Janome Border Guide foot was used to embellish the back of the tag with rows of dec. stitches (There are WELL over 200 decorative stitches to choose from on the Janome Horizon!!) Then we used the Janome Acufeed foot to attach the plastic address pocket and embellish the front of the tag. Lastly, we couched a bright green yarn all the way around the edge to finish off the edge of the tag.
