*NEW * JANOME EDGE GUIDE FOOT

This foot just landed on my desk a week or so back – IT IS BRAND NEW:  This EDGE GUIDE FOOT is 9mm wide and is designed for the JANOME HORIZON MC12000.

****NEW FROM JANOME THIS FALL ******

I know several people have asked about this kind of a foot and the great news is………….IT’S HERE………IN STOCK, so you may happily ask your LOCAL JANOME DEALER to order one for you: PART #202 100 003.  As you know, we don’t quote pricing……you need to ask your local JANOME DEALER  for that information but we can tell you this: you will be pleasantly surprized and will want to add this foot to your JANOME sewing tool kit!! Trust us on this one…….we have been waiting a while for a foot like this and it is going to be a very handy-dandy tool.

GUIDE POSITIONED TO THE LEFT

Guide positioned to the right. Note the red markings in 1mm increments on the foot – making it that much easier to line up in the exact spot required.

It looks a little bit like an adjustable blind hem foot – only it is not for blind hems. The little silver wheel moves the white plastic guide from side to side. The fabric edge or seam butts up against this wall so you can get some pretty nifty stitching going on! This foot will be a most welcome addition to the ditch quilting & 1/4 inch guide feet that are perfect for their tasks but not quite the thing for the type of edge & top stitching & embellishment that the EDGE GUIDE FOOT is just perfect for.

I have a cream fabric sample in this pic – notice how the edge is riding up against the edge guide – this edge may be adjusted left & right to position the stitching in the exact spot you require. See pics above where it shows the extreme left & right positions of this edge guide.

STRAIGHT OR DECORATIVE STITCHES……..SEWING SEAMS; SEAM FINISHING; TOP STITCHING; EMBELLISHING………THIS FOOT DOES IT!

Pretend that this is a neck or armhole facing: facing has been sewn & flipped over to wrong side. Then the NEW EDGE GUIDE FOOT was used to top or edge stitch creating a neat, flat edge. This is a perfect tool for top stitching quilts, garments, home decor, you name it: adjust the guide to position the top stitching = evenly spaced and perfectly aligned!

PERFECT 3/8 INCH SEAM ON DENIM FABRIC using the EDGE GUIDE FOOT

THIS NEW EDGE GUIDE FOOT DOES A GREAT JOB OF THOSE DENIM JEANS SEAMS – I used the EDGE GUIDE FOOT  as a guide along the ditch of the seam enabling me to stitch a perfect top stitching for a professional jeans finish!

THE NEW JANOME EDGE GUIDE FOOT IN ACTION………….stitched in white to be seen in the pic. I used regular weight sewing thread and the triple straight stitch to create a heavier denim top stitched look. But a heavier thread & top stitch needle may also be used.

WHAT OTHER USES  CAN YOU SEE FOR THIS FOOT?? Please send us a comment and we will share your ideas with all our other JANOME sewers.
