Look where we found Janome’s!

We would like this to be the first of many of the unlikely or strange places where we or you have found/seen Janome machines. Please send us a comment and we will contact you to get the info.

Our first one is from our sales rep, Scott, who was wandering in the mountains of Costa Rica this past summer with his family. They stumbled
across a hammock factory of sorts that used a Janome. It was a simple mechanical machine, similar to our SUV 1122 here in Canada. It had needle threader, front loading bobbin and a one-step buttonhole.

I’d love to know more about this. I live in Panama very close to the Costa Rica border and have an MC12000. I bought it knowing that the closest place for authorized maintenance would be the US (or Colombia). This place isn’t set up for servicing is it? Sure would be nice!

      Hi Valerie,

I do not believe that this place in Costa Rica is a dealer. It was quite remote in the jungle and merely had a Janome machine there to make items they were selling. You would be best to go back to the dealer where you bought the Mc12000 and ask them to give you support. There is also a Workbook that is now available for this machine. You could ask them to order it for you. See the blog post about this.
