Nori Richens is the Show Organizer for our Sewing Shows in Abbotsford BC in the Spring and our 2 Sewing Shows in Alberta in Calgary & Edmonton in the Fall. Nori recently bought a JANOME sewing machine and she was real proud to tell me that she had been having a lot of fun sewing some projects. I asked her to send me pics:
This eco friendly shopping bag is the pattern called ‘SEW & STOW” from the Fall 2013 issue of Quilts & More. She purchased the fabric from Fabricana Imports in Richmond, BC. She tells me that the bottom of the bag rolls up and stows with ties for easy storage when not in use.
This next project: the pin cushions are from a pattern purchased at The Cloth Shop, Vancouver, BC by Bella Moon. She used FQ’s to make these.
Nori tells me these were not gifts for some lucky person ( that’s a shame! – I’ll bet a bunch of your family & friends would agree with me?!) – they were just her practicing on her new JANOME sewing machine. She thought these projects would enable her to sew + learn how to use her sewing machine in an affordable way. She tells me she is really enjoying the world of sewing & quilting. “The options are endless!”
WAY TO GO, NORI!! We know you are going to continue having a lot of fun. Congrats on the purchase of your Janome 7100QDC.
SEE YOU AT THE SEWING SHOW in ABBOTSFORD in just 3 weeks time!!
