Welcome to a relaxing weekend post in our Apple a Day from Janome series. Today we are fortunate to be able to share some of the great work from Canadian designer, blogger and all-around creative talent, Nicole Nowosad. Amongst her many talents, Nicole is a Scrapbook and Cards Today design team member. She is also a big fan of using a sewing machine to produce many of her layouts.
We met Nicole when doing some Janome Shop at Home ad work with Scrapbook and Cards Today (a free, inspiration FILLED, online magazine.) We have shared some of Nicole’s samples before – they will make you a ‘stitching on paper’ convert. You can see more of Nicole’s work, and maybe pick up a few scrap ‘n stitch techniques from her blog, Just Nicks. She also creates cut files ( cut file freebies )for the Cameo Silhouette, like in the project below.
In one of her latest posts, you get a peek into Nicole’s studio, as well as seeing some more stitching on paper.

I am lucky enough to be sent a Janome machine and it is the only sewing machine I use now for all my paper crafting. I sew a lot on my craft projects and am excited to be on the Janome blog with some paper craft inspiration for you to enjoy.
Here are a few of the close-ups of some of the details:
I created an ad piece for Janome in the fall issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine (that you can download free online on September 19! )
Hope you enjoy!
What a great idea!!
