Yes, the eagerly awaited update to version 1.2 for JANOME MC12000 has been posted to the Janome global website.
Please follow the instructions for the download (from the website) and upload to your Janome MC12000 VERY carefully. Please contact your local Janome dealer for assistance if you are not confident about navigating the instructions on the Global Janome website.
This version 1.2 update is for the JANOME MC12000 machine. It will add the RE18 hoop to the list of hoops on the screen of the machine – in other words it adds Essential hoop RE18 compatibility to your machine.
The Essential RE18 Hoop is available for purchase from your local Janome dealer………….it would make an ideal Christmas gift, would it not?
The hoop has been reviewed already on this blog but here’s a quick recap: it is 5.5 x 7 inches (140x180mm) and comes with 4 magnets and a USB stick with 50 bonus designs. (Do a search for RE hoop on janomelife for more information)
You should also please download the HORIZON LINK SUITE software update to your computer. This update may be found on the same Janome Global website as the v1.2 update for the machine – immediately below it on the list of updates. Here is the link. This update for the Horizon Link software adds compatibility with version 1.2 on the machine as well as improvements & modifications for Windows 8 /8.1 compatibility.
Please remember that BOTH updates should be done: one for your computer and one for your machine.
