Remember this from 2 weeks ago? We received queries asking for the instructions of how to make it. Thanks to Betty Chalker who so willingly provided further info about how to make this great project using the Janome Circular attachment.
Betty has supplied detailed instructions of how to mark the iron-on tearaway stabilizer. If you are interested in making this table topper, please follow her instructions below using the Janome Circular attachment.
Betty shows clearly in the diagrams below how to mark the iron-on tearaway stabilizer. If you own a circular template/ruler such as the Sewing Revolution, I am thinking this would be a very handy tool to do these markings accurately & quickly. These rulers can be purchased from your Janome dealer here in Canada. They may order from us as I know we have them in stock. Wouldn’t that make a very handy-dandy tool for below your Christmas tree??
Betty also tells me that how she got those satin stitches so neat was by going around 3 times using different width satin stitches – this gives it that lovely “thick” and graded look. You may want to give this a try?
We would love to do a Show & Tell of similar projects using JANOME CIRCULAR ATTACHMENT (VIDEO FOR YOU TO WATCH) …….send us your pics and we will share your creativity with our sewing community. HAPPY CHRISTMAS SEWING!
