One of our Janome dealers does a special Christmas display in the store each Christmas. Langley Vacuum & Sewing have a fun thing they do: Trudy provides 1/2m of Christmas fabric (usually 2 prints to choose from) and her customers are invited to take that 1/2 m and turn it into absolutely anything they wish to sew. The only rule is that they need to use as much of the fabric as possible. You should see what the ladies come up with!! We had a great deal of fun & laughter on 3rd Dec when I visited the store for their Christmas Embroidery Club meeting where the ladies handed in their completed projects.

Trudy & staff then display these projects on boards in the store – each with a number. Every customer who comes into the store during December is asked to vote for the project they like the most. In January, the winner is announced. It is a lot of fun.  Here are some pics of the entries into this Langley Vacuum & Sewing contest:
