We are quite encouraged by our 2 BC Sewing shows. At both Victoria & Abbotsford, the number of people coming to the show, class attendance and sales at vendor’s booths was up on previous years. We are pleased about this because when you don’t come to shows & spend your $$, the vendors don’t come back with things for you to buy as it is not economically feasible for them to do it. BUT I am happy to say that last year & this year, many vendors told me they were pleased. We know #’s of people through the door & #’s of cars in the parking lot was substantially up. I know my classes were extremely well attended, actually most were fully booked – which was great. So thank you to all of you who came to the Sewing Show in Victoria & Abbotsford…..we really appreciate and value your support. Without it…….well, we don’t really want to talk about that, do we?!
So what did I buy? …..not much time to shop actually but I sneaked away a couple of times and bought a pair of clever earrings from The Material Girl’s booth: they are double sided so you can have the “pearl” or diamante part to the front or back of your ear. Thanks Marilyn for bringing unusual and different items for us to buy.
I also bought a lovely piece of fabric from Fabrics, etc which I can`t wait to use…Thanks, Penny……now I just need to find the time to actually sit down & sew…..possibly in July??
Our Artistic SD18 got its BC debut at the Victoria & Abbotsford shows. The comments shared by interested folk was that it is so fast, so smooth, SO much room with its 18 inch throat space and SUCH a huge big table for supporting any quilt. Oh….and the price…..very attractive when compared to our competitors!
So…..if you missed out on these 2 BC sewing shows…..well, you really did miss out! But we hope to see you next year.
