A Bundle of Congratulations & Our Thanks

Your comments were counted and a random number was generated to determine who our lucky winner of the nine FQ sets is. Congratulations goes out to Delaine of Alberta. Your big box of fabric will soon be on its way to you.

Thank you all so much for following along, and for continually coming back to check out what is new on Janome Life. We appreciate your support and welcome your suggestions for upcoming features (you can share your ideas in a comment below).  While we can’t really diagnose specific challenges that you might be having (your dealer can provide one-to-one help), we would love to present topics that you want to know more about and also share in celebrating your latest projects and creative achievements. You can find newsy notes on our Facebook page as well.

Happy Sewing & Merry Making to all!

Liz, I went to the Janome.com website to look at the FMC foot. They have a part no 202-110-006 for this foot and the description says that the foot is compatible with the 15000. Will it work with the couching designs on the machine update? Thanks.
Also wanted to say that I really like this website and all of the information that is provided for the Janome products. The 12 days of Christmas were great and created lots of ideas for gifts. Keep up the great work

      Hi Carol,
Yes, that is indeed the correct part # for the FREE MOTION couching foot. Embroidery couching is a different thing as the embroidery is stitched in the embroidery hoop to a digitized design. The correct part # for the embroidery couching foot is # 202 297 008. So these feet are doing a similar thing but with different techniques so they are not the same thing. If you were to use the Free Motion Couching foot on the MC15000 in embroidery mode with these embroidery designs, you will in all likelihood not get the same results. Plus you run the risk of banging into the side of the embroidery hoop as this foot is not designed for the hoop – it is for free motion work only. If that were to happen, you would not have warranty coverage on any damage which might result from improper use of the feet.

Thank you for your kind words. We do try our best to keep you informed & inspired to use your Janome machines to the max.
      Merry Christmas.

      Liz
