Fall was well on its way towards us during my recent trips to Alberta. Very pretty even though the mornings evenings were turning quite crisp cool. Many parts of Alberta and Saskatchewan have had now had LOTS of snow…..somewhat early?
During September there were 2 sewing shows in Alberta, Canada. I attended both. As always, I had fun with our Janome customers……many of whom I see most times I am in this area and they come over to the Dealer’s booth at the show to say Hi, tell me what they have been sewing and ask questions about their favourite Janome machines and accessories.
We had the “Whatever the Weather” quilt by Tamara Kate – featured recently on the janomelife Quilt-along – as well as Cynthia Frenette’s lovely applique quilt featured in the Look book for the Maker series. Check our a recent janomelife post for access to this look book.
“Whatever the Weather” Quilt by Tamara Kate from Montreal. See janomelife for more information how how to make this quilt.
The Calgary show is held at the beautiful Spruce Meadows horse show venue just south of Calgary. Here we see more of Cynthia’s quilt as well as her lovely matching applique pillow next to the Janome machines.
Our Janome booth at the Calgary show – Sewing World, Calgary. We had one big table with the Artistic Edge Digital cutter and I taped cute and bright card stock flowers all the way around the edge of the table.
