Fun, education, laughing and learning was enjoyed on my recent trip to the beautiful BC Interior. Thank you to the Janome dealers who arranged these Janome “Confessions of a Sewaholic” events and to all the long-standing and loyal as well as new Janome customers who came out to participate in the fun learning experiences! It was great to see so many new faces at these events – we hope you found them informative and helpful to you in your sewing room?
Here are some pics from this trip:
An enthusiastic group pf customers at Findlays Superstore in Vernon, BC who had come to hear the “Confessions of a Sewaholic”!
All set up and ready to roll with the camera projection at our Janome dealer in Vernon. The Janome Skyline S9 has pride of place – it is a fabulous new model we have launched this Fall. Do ask your local Janome dealer for a demonstration of its amazing features.
This machine is just incredible……. the compact detachable embroidery unit, precision embroidery, wide choice of decorative stitches, AUTO PRESSER FOOT LIFT AND PIVOT FUNCTION; big, colour LCD screen; NEW tapered stitching, Sewing applications menu and much more……..Visit your local Janome dealer today to find out more and see what this brand new machine does.
I know Halloween has passed but I did have fun explaining how and why I made the candy bag on the left + the Confessions of a Sewaholic book cover on the right – embroidery designs shown are built in in designs on the Janome MC15000 and Skyline S9.
The Artistic Edge 15 Digital cutter ……..I cannot imagine ever being without a digital cutter. Rather like having air conditioning or electronic window opening in my car……don’t think I could ever go backwards!
Artistic Edge 15 Digital cutter display. All the striking gold and red lettering was cut on the Edge digital cutter and simply were then ironed onto my banner. It is iron-on glitter vinyl.
The pink & white bag standing on the edge of the table above is a “blank” which we decorated with white iron on vinyl letters (also cut easily and quickly with the Artistic Edge 15 Digital cutter) A crystal template was also cut for the crystals which were transferred in ONE step with transfer tape and then ironed in place around the letters. Never again will we hassle with crystal wands with one crystal, 2 crystal etc. WAY too time consuming. This new method, using the Simple Cut Software which is included with the purchase of the Artistic Edge 15 Digital cutter , was done in a matter of a few minutes……..seriously!
Our lovely display of Maker series machines – our new M50, M100 and M200 machines – at Linda’s Quilt Shoppe in Kelowna.
The place mats on the table above were made by Cynthia Frenette of Mission, BC who is one of our Janome artisans. These are to team up with her lovely modern quilt and big pillow using the colours and colour wheel type logo in the front of the Maker machines. To see more of these various projects with many links to instructions and more……check out our Maker series Look book or visit the home page of this janomelife blog where the header banner currently has the Maker series and Look book links.
Here are more of the Maker series samples – see the Look Book link above for more. Note the big puffy pillow that Cynthia made to match her quilt and place mats – all her creative interpretation of the M series logo – clearly visible on the front of the pic above & below.
Note the pincushion in the top of the machine in the extra spool pin holder!! This is included with the machine as is a quilting table and full kit of quilting feet including walking foot, free motion foot, 1/4 inch foot, open toe foot, DITCH QUILTING FOOT and quilting guide bar. SEW much value, SEW much fun.
More Janome Maker series sample displays at Linda’s Quilt Shoppe in Kelowna BC. This is the cute sewers apron that was made by Sherri Sylvester of Toronto. Sherri is another of our Janome artisans – check out the Maker Look book for information on how you can see much more on her blog or link here for more info on this apron: Thread Riding hood
