Another Pickle Pie in the hoop project - the cross body bag

A Pickle Pie in the hoop project – the cross body bag

We start a new series of janomelife posts designed to help you get more out of your Janome embroidery machine……..put it to work for you! We will share a number of clever and fun ways to use your Janome embroidery machine over the next few months. Do watch for these posts if you have a Janome embroidery machine or are thinking about whether investing in such a fabulous tool might indeed be the thing t do?! If you do not already follow our blog…..perhaps you might like to do so (right hand side of the home page screen of janomelife.)  If you follow this blog, you will get an email each time we publish a blog post and that way you won’t miss even a single blog post!

And don’t forget to send us comments in the comment box at the end of the posts…..tell us what you liked, what you did not like, ask queries that require quick, easy answers and tell us what you created with your Janome sewing an embroidery machine(s). We love to hear from you.

This design above was made available as a free download earlier this year in Creative Machine Embroidery mag. www.cmemag.com. If you download before the deadline date the design is free. Thereafter you need to buy the design from Pickle Pie Designs. I have actually purchased quite a few CD’s with Pickle Pie designs over the years. I really like them as they always work, have multiple sizes and the instructions are very good with loads of pics for easy application.
This one is dear to my heart as I have twice lost a vitally important USB stick this year (thankfully found again) so I have made well over a dozen of these super cute little baggies to help me keep the USB where it should be+ share this with my friends in case they are as “silly” as me.  There are other companies who offer very similar designs: You can always do a google search or ask your local Janome dealer if they have any to sell. I DO know that you will find lovely in-the-hoop designs  at our very own www.janome-embroidery.com    – to be exact there are currently almost 70 different in-the-hoop designs to choose from.  You can shop for these in your pj’s and then stitch them out while still in your pj’s if you choose!!

I am so badly behind with my Christmas shopping.  Really not a good thing with less than  a month to go so I have  a very sneaking feeling that quite a few pressies this Christmas are going to be in-the-hoop projects!

Are you well ahead of the game or could you use some of these great gift ideas to help you be ready by 24th December?!?

      Hi Sonia,

I believe I explained where that USB stick zipper pouch came from: Pickle Pie designs. Please either google Pickle Pie designs or refer to the link to Creative Machine Embroidery magazine. The design may no longer be a free download as it was available in this magazine some months back. But if not, it can be purchased from Pickle Pie Designs.
