Make it Fast: Hostess Apron

Janome Accessories Can Help With That!

12daysContinuing along with our holiday themed celebration of finishing projects fast (and maybe building a little wish list of your own for a few “just right” accessories), today we share a quick and easy project from Janome Artisan,  Jackie White. Jackie made the most of an inexpensive holiday tea towel, a few stitches and the multi purpose satin stitch (craft) foot F, that comes standard with most Janome Machines.

From Jackie:

Make a cute and fast apron for the holidays on the Janome MC 9400! Personalize it by choosing just the right decorative stitch for the person receiving the gift. Once selected, the touch screen of the  MC 9400 will tell you which foot to use (F), and you are off and stitching an adorable apron for the cook in your life!

The easy assembly instructions, suitable for the 9400 and most Janome models, can be found on her blog.

foot-fThe F foot is a great all-around foot that allows for plenty of viability as well as stitching with decorative stitches that can sometimes create a build-up of thread. With the F foot, threads are easily accommodated by the indented channel on the underside of the foot, for fast, worry-free sewing.

If you are looking to explore beyond your basic accessories, why not visit your local Janome dealer to learn what might be the skill-building additions to start off your 2017 sewing projects? We’ve assembled a handy little Wish List  (wish-list-2016) to get your planning started.

Happy {Holiday} Sewing!
