JANOME SUMMER GIVE-AWAY……. CALLING FOR YOUR ENTRIES

As mentioned in the post about the double zipper bag on Monday 10 July, we have a give-away for THREE lucky people this summer. The closing date for entries will be Monday July 31st at 12 noon PDT. Please ensure you enter by that time as any entries after this will not be included in the draw.

WHAT IS UP FOR GRABS? Remember this Book Review some time back?

Janome has recently sponsored a second printing of this book: WALKING FOOT QUILTING DESIGNS  by Melissa Marginet of Manitoba after her first printing sold out completely. Well done, Melissa!  We have THREE copies of this great spiral bound and handy reference book on quilting designs you can do with your walking foot or  your JANOME ACUFEED FLEX FOOT  to give away at the end of July.

HOW DO I ENTER FOR A CHANCE TO WIN ONE OF THESE BOOKS?  Please follow these instructions carefully as all incorrect entries will not be included in the draw:

  1. Tell us briefly in 1 or 2 sentences in the comment box below THIS post what you are sewing this summer on your Janome sewing and/or embroidery machine.
  2. Please also tell us the name of your local Janome Canada Dealer store.
  3. Please do not enter more than once as duplicate entries will be deleted. Filling in the comment box  multiple times will not increase your chance of winning.
  4. Please note that we are only able to ship to Canadian addresses so please only enter if you have a postal address in CANADA where we can ship the prize. If you are able to collect from your local Canadian JANOME dealer store, even better!

Now proudly sponsored by Janome

Don’t delay…..tell us what you are sewing this summer and perhaps you might be a lucky blog viewer who wins at the end of this month?

I am currently working on a project bag and I am taking a couple courses that have lots of homework. I am a member of the Janome Club (using my 9400) and the Embroidery Cub (using my 500E), both are held at Threads that Bind in Maxwell. At every class I can not believe how much these machines can do and love trying it all. Love these machines!

    Hi Liz
My Janome MC6500 has been busily stitching baby quilts, receiving blankets and other layette items for our almost 2 years old granddaughter and grandson. I am about to start some baby items for a friend’s daughter who is expecting twin girls in November.

On my cutting table … a small sailboat quilt that will be going out to the quilt drive for the BC wildfires. Also just finished 25 blocks through a QAL on Instagram which now need finishing. Last year I bought the Horizon 8200 from my local Janome dealer — Linda at the Oakville Sewing Centre. Thanx for the giveaway. I’m always looking for help and ideas on quilting with my walking foot.

I recently purchased a Janome Coverpro 2000CPX. Hemming is a breeze! I have also been working on some embroidery (Smith Street Designs) on my MC 15000, a farm themed quilt for my grandson. Both machines as well as my 6600 and my 1100D were purchased from Johnson’s Sewing Centre in Edmonton AB. Janome you ROCK!!!

My new baby grandson was born 4 days ago & daughter-in-law has requested a Dr. Seuss theme. I will be using my Janome 15000 (purchased from Sawyer’s Sewing Victoria) to embroider quotes & sayings from Dr. Seuss & will be free motioning Seuss hats on top. As there is no Dr. Seuss fabrics available (except on line) I will need to put my creative juices to work. Thank you Janome 15000 for having the capability to help me with this dilemma.

This summer I am working on my first quilt for my granddaughter.
I am so excited to surprise her with this quilt. I’m almost finished and I can’t wait to see the end results. I couldn’t have done it without my new Janome skyline S9.
My dealer is KW sewing machines in Kitchener Ontario. Wonderful people very friendly and helpful.

I am always doing a quilt or two. Plus I enjoy doing placemats, purses, towel dresses for over your oven door and potato bags. I have a Janome Jem, which is now exclusively my “travelling” machine since my recent purchase of the Janome Model 812, Canada 150, which I purchased at the quilt show at the Toronto International Center this year. Enjoying this machine too. I must say that the Janome Jem is one exceptional machine and is one heck of a workhorse. So sad to hear that it is not still an available machine. I purchased the Canada 150 from “Ultimate Sewing Center” located in Oshawa Ontario. Nice people.
