Janome APP’s: AcuSketch and AcuEdit

I still meet people on my travels around Canada who don’t seem to know that we have these wonderful FREE Janome APP’s. While some of the App’s are specifically for our WIFI compatible embroidery machines: the Janome MC15000 and the Janome Skyline S9, it is true that the AcuSketch and AcuDesign App’s can be used by a wider audience than owners of these 2 machines. ……..which is good news indeed as these Apps are a lot of fun and extremely useful for our expanding our machine embroidery skills.

Janome America has recently offered a Facebook Live learning opportunity on AcuSketch including  a little on the AcuEdit App as well. Here is the link to the video.  It is presented by Erin who works in the Marketing Dept of Janome America.

Please be patient as you start watching as nothing seems to happen for a minute or so but the video does start. You can move the slider bar slightly to fast forward a little if you wish.

We HIGHLY recommend watching this video as it goes through a lot of what you may be unaware of in relation to what the Janome AcuSketch App does and how you can use this App.

Wish the Janome apps came in Android.
I have no interest in changing all my devices to Apple products. Sorry to see that the new M7 has a very cool app but it’s for ipad and iphone only.

      Hi Beth,

No, that is not correct. Currently the app is for iPad and iPhones BUT the same App is in the final stages of development for Android and will be available soon.

Can the app be used with a mc1100

      Hi Leonie

You can use AcuSketch App and AcuDesign App with the MC11000. However, you would need to email the design out of your iPad to your computer and save the design onto a USB to put into your MC11000. This is because the MC11000 is not wifi compatible with the iPad so you need the extra step. Make sense? The other Apps only work on our two WIFI models: the MC15000 and the S9.

Can the sketch be used on the MC12000$

      Hi Donna,

It sure can – Yay! as this App is really cool. Obviously you cannot send the designs created in AcuSketch wirelessly to your MC12000 as there is no WIFI connection. However, you can email the design directly out of the iPad and then save the design onto a USB at your computer to use at the Mc12000. Have FUN!
