I made two plaid coral fleece blankets on my Janome S7…one for my 13 yer old grandson and a matching one for my 3 year old grandson. I started making minky blankets for the 13 year old and his 11 year old sister many years ago. This is the 4th blanket I have made for the 13 year old as he continues to grow. As I finished this one on Christmas Eve it struck me that probably the next one I make for him will be when he is off to university. I am so thankful there is a still a 3 year old and his one year old sister to sew for. I used the regular sewing foot and it worked great.

I made a pet mesh book bag for my one year old granddaughter (she LOVES books and she’s very exceptional for a one year old…says the proud grandma!) with a pocket on front that includes an embroidery of a child sitting on books while reading and words regarding books and imagination of the reader. We FaceTime opening gifts and after she opened it she immediately tried to put it on her shoulder (just like her mommy). I used a walking foot and my 15000 performed flawlessly!

My most recent finish is a dresden plate table runner. I made it using my Janome 9400. Right now I’m doing some free motion quilting using the machine and it’s doing a great job.

I sewed a Minecraft design quilt for my grandson for Christmas. I designed the quilt myself and used the 1/4 inch foot, and the walking foot, my favorite, to create the top, quilt sandwich, and finish the quilting. I sew everything on my Janome 15000 and I love it that the machine helps me choose the right stitch and foot for whatever I am making. It is always a pleasure when I sit down to my sewing machine! Thank you for your educational and inspiring blogs! I am a regular subscriber.

Used the walking foot to finish my son’s t-shirt quilt which had been in the works for 6 years! Purchase my 15000 approx 6 mos ago and because of the ease of using it, I was finally able to finish it and gift it to him on Christmas Day!

I sewed six embroidered Christmas ornaments with my Janome 500E. Some of the embroidery was quite dense so I used Janome red tip needles which I had used only one other time.. They did a great job. As usual the 500 E was easy to use and did a fine job.

I made Minion quilts for my 2 grandsons on my Janome 11000. I bought this machine years ago because it quilts in the hoop. I quilted these quilts with butterflies and stars randomly using the motifs in the hoop

I’ve been using the embroidery portion of my 15000 constantly. First for mug rugs as hostess gifts and now working on Quiltworx Cattails. The GR is a real time saver by cutting down hoopings! Love it!

I made my husband a lap quilt in Asian pattern fabrics. I used my Janome 1/4” quilting foot, which kept me on track for perfect seams and blocks. This was very important since this was the first quilt I have ever made.

Working on my BOM that ended in December. Wonderful how all the blocks are coming together. Sewn with my 1/4” foot. The one without the guide. Works great!

I made a reading pocket pillow for a new great niece with my Janome 15000. I embroidered the front pocket with the P foot but assembly was done with the HP foot which is my favorite foot.

I am crazy about the HP foot and plate on my Janome 9400! I flew through the blocks to make two holiday table runners (kept one) and three gift sacks for the littles in my family. Found out on Christmas Day that another Little is joining us in the spring! So it is time to start a baby quilt.

I sewed so many items, its hard to limit! I think the item that was most treasured by the recipient was an apron for my 4year old Niece. I used the beading foot for beads (every cook must have beads in the kitchen, right) and the marking foot (might have the wrong name) to evenly space out the decorative stitching lines. It was a simple, fun project that she may never take off!
