USING OUR EMBROIDERY SOFTWARE TO DIGITIZE DECORATIVE STITCHES

Remember this baggie from earlier this year?  Digitizing that mimics machine decorative stitching? This design was  digitized by Donna Morton of Snip and Stitch, Nanaimo.


We did a similar thing with this jellyfish…..digitized by Yvonne Menear and here.  This includes an Applique as well as tentacles in a variety of digitized decorative stitching.

    I currently have Janome Artistic Suite (v6.0 upgraded to v7.1), and I’m looking into upgrading to a digitizer. My understanding is that the upgrade path is to Artistic Premium. However, that software looks to be about 5 years old. Is Artistic Digitizer the replacement? If so, is there an upgrade path, or is it just another complete purchase? I cannot find any information on the differences between Artistic Premium and Artistic Digitizer. The Janome website still has the Suite/Premium line listed for software offerings and nothing for Artisitc Digitizer unless you happen to get to it through a support link. I don’t want to spend money on something that is discontinued and will not have future upgrades (I was bitten by that issue with Janome Digitizer Jr. v5 when Janome discontinued that line in favor of the Artistic line).

      Hi Tammy

      We don’t carry Artistic Premium in Canada. We actually never did have it so I am unable to give you any information about it or the upgrade paths. Sorry. You will need to contact your Janome America dealer or Tech Support. Sorry we can’t be of assistance.

    These samples are SO tempting. I have never before been interested in the digitizing effort. Could you list what Janome machines the two software programs work with? ( I have the 500e, 350e, and 9400.) Thank you!

      Hi Tecla,

      These embroideries can be done on either your 500E or your 350E although the size of designs on your 350E will be a bit smaller.
      The designs were digitized in both of our Embroidery software programs: Janome Digitizer MBX and Artistic Digitizer. So either program will allow you to produce these great designs. And then all you need do is save the digitized design onto your USB stick and open it at your embroidery machine. Such fun!
