Has Spring sprung where you are? I can see this tree from my sewing room/office window!

Pics taken on my lunch time walk in the sunshine yesterday.

Yes, I know not all parts of Canada have emerged from “the fridge” yet but it most definitely has here on the West Coast where we are having wonderfully warm and sunny weather. Please don’t scowl…we do get lots of grey skies and rain so rejoice with us when we are not being given “liquid sunshine”!

I thought something with pretty yellow and white flowers was a good idea today for Instagram Live!

Have you seen or tried out our Fringe flowers? These are little built-in embroidery designs on many of our Janome embroidery machines – usually found in the Free Arm hoop section on the embroidery machine but could be elsewhere in a specific Fringe flower category. Tune in to Instagram today as we will tell you what Janome embroidery machines have these designs.

We will be showing how to do these flowers on our Instagram Live TODAY at 10am Pacific/11am Mountain/1pm Eastern

  • You cannot watch an Instagram Live unless you have an Instagram account. If you do not have an account (it is free to sign up) and do not wish to open one, you will just have to wait until we have processed the recording and posted it to our You Tube Janome Life channel.  Please note that this recording may not be exactly the same as the Instagram Live as we may be using a different camera or equipment to what was used during the Live presentation and we may edit the recording.

How to tune in?

  • Navigate to & open your Instagram account on your computer or mobile device.
  • Do a search for Janome Canada using the search icon > notice the Janome Canada LOGO in the top left of the screen: the circle with little sewing machine icon and JANOME Canada below the little black machine.  See our screenshot pic below.
  • At the time we start the Live presentation, this logo circle will have a flashing or shiny outline. Just click on or touch the logo and the Live presentation will appear on your screen. Head phones generally give better sound.

  • You may type your questions or comments during the Live and the presenter will see them and answer when he/she can.
  • If you tuned in late or missed it entirely, no worries, as you can watch it on our Instagram story for 24 hours after the Live plus we will also post the recording to our You Tube Janome Life channel afterwards.  Please be patient as the posting to You Tube will not be instantaneous. It may take a day or 2 but, rest assured, we will post when we have had time to edit and process the video recording.

Would you like to find out how to do fringe flowers?

Tune in to our Instagram Live at the time listed above.

      Hi Gail,

Did you follow my step by step instructions on Janomelife posts last week and again for today’s post? Do you have an Instagram account? Please read the instructions and let me know if you followed these steps but still could not see the Live presentation. I’m at a bit of a loss as to know where you are at to help you. I need more information about what you ARE doing to know what you might be missing.
      Here is the link

        Hi Liz,

        Hi Gail,

That’s weird. Is it kind of shining or flashing? It won’t if we have not started the Live presentation on our end.
U could also go to IGTV and see if you can access it from there.
And all is not lost as the Live is available to watch on our IG story for 24 hours after the Live AND we also post it to You Tube – our Janomelife channel. So 3 opportunities to watch!

  2. Carol says:

Not everyone is on Instagram. Why not continue your previous platform?

    • lizafrica says:

      Hi Carol,

We have not stopped offering anything we were offering before – other than face to face at Dealers’ stores and shows – for obvious current reasons. In fact, we are offering MUCH more than we were previously. An average of 3 Janome Life posts per week previously is now 1 everyday – some of which have links to video’s. Some days we offer 2 Janome Life posts. This content often links and overlaps with what is spoken about on our Instragram Live.

In addition, we have started a new You Tube channel: Janome Life where nearly all the Instragram Live video’s are posted after the Instagram Live has been broadcast. So if you are not on Instagram, you have NOT been neglected.
And we are continuing to post links everyday to Facebook as well.

Janome America is also offering a Facebook Live everyday Monday – Friday at 3pm Eastern.

In fact, you have more than you had before. So, I’m sorry but I’m not too sure what you mean?

  3. Christine Currie says:

I am happy for you Liz. Enjoy your spring weather. In Ontario where I am, north of Toronto but south of Barrie, our ground was white again this morning. So not what I want to see. It does make it easier to stay at home and inside, away from others.
    P.S. Love my Janome!
    Christine from Ontario
