Jen Tryon has 2 video’s for us today on making masks:
Firstly, She uses a Janome serger to sew a face mask using materials around your house – like a cotton pillow case or shirt.
- Forget the very scarce elastic!
- Forget the fiddly and time consuming bias strips for the ties!
- Hello speed and efficiency!
This is a great alternative method for superquick serger face mask making – check out the video here.
Secondly, Here is the video Jen made with the more conventional method of using your sewing machine – just in case you don’t have a serger? Of course, with our current Janome Canada Drop Ship Sale, we can easily fix that problem……Contact your Janome Canada Dealer today……. Just saying!
AND we have a (TSC) Shopping Channel special this week on Thursday and Friday Live from Jen’s home studio where she will be showing the Janome 4DLB serger (the one Jen is using on this face mask video above), amongst other models like the Janome Sewist 740DC sewing machine.
Enjoyed the post re: how to sew a cloth mask w/serger by Jen Tryon, on 4/21/2020.
Being a senior & trying to follow the folding methods and pleats is not so easy for
me to follow. Is any written instructions provided?

Hi Ann,
Jen is working on the notes. We will provide a link to these notes when they are ready – sorry been a particularly busy week for us here at Janome.

The video on how to make a facemask is very well done; however, in the video the presenter states that you can download the written instructions. I do not see a link where this can be done. Is it there and I have just missed it?
