FYI….new Janome Canada quilting project now available to download

YES!! we are thrilled to draw your attention to the fact that our lovely Summer Sampler quilt has now been posted to our INSPIRE tab >>PROJECTS.

Full instructions are available to download in PDF in both English and French.

Liz designed and made this quilt using the quilt block patterns in the Quilt Block advisor on the Janome Continental M7 and AcuSpark App. HOWEVER, you can get the free AcuSpark app even if you do not own the M7 so you too can make this quilt if you feel so inclined. And, as mentioned in the instructions, you can substitute any or all of these traditional and favourite quilt blocks with your own different/ favourite quilt block patterns. Use these instructions as a jumping off point for your own creativity!

There are instructions for cutting and piecing; putting the quilt top together as well as quilting  – including Acufil quilting  parts of the quilt. (quilting with your Janome embroidery machine).

And the nine patch block with Acufil quilting

this quilt is suitable for confident beginners although, as an advanced quilter, I had a lot of fun creating this. It makes use of traditional and well loved quilting blocks. You can certainly add your own creative flair to make this your own.

We would LOVE to see what you do with these instructions to make your own sampler quilts! Please post the pics of your completed quilt on Instagram and Facebook with #janomecanada @janomecanada.  Just an FYI that this is not a 2 year project! It took me perhaps a total of 5 days to make – if I had to add up my time …..so quite doable.
