Jennifer Tryon is back on the Global TV Morning show tomorrow Wed 16th December (9am/9.30am). She will be showing the beautiful free standing lace (FSL) Holiday village. Decorating with miniature snowy villages is a holiday decorating tradition with some families. By why not make it even more special by adding your own DIY touches?
If you already have a porcelain village and you want to add a few homemade things to it this year, what about using yarn and either paper or styrofoam cones to make little trees? A little dollop of hot glue and these little trees come together so quickly and look so cute. We recommend using different textures and shades of green to make things even more interesting. Jennifer will be showing this on the Global TV Morning show tomorrow.
AND…..if you want to take it a step further …… what about creating your own village out of free standing machine embroidered lace? There is a tutorial on how to do this coming soon on the Canadian projects page (Inspire tab of http://www.janome.ca. ) it’s not there yet but will be soon…….so watch for the step by step instructions for making your own FSL embroideries.
Believe it or not Jennifer made this entire snowy village out of THREAD! Yes all of this is made using the free standing lace technique on a Janome embroidery machine! Jennifer explains more on Global TV Morning show tomorrow morning …….. you will just have to tune in!
Tune in or set your PVR but don’t miss this Janome segment on the Global TV Morning show!
