Day 12 of our 12 Days of Holiday Gifts with Janome: AcuFeed Flex Open Toe Foot

When asked what one Janome accessory I could not do without, my immediate answer is the AcuFeed Flex Open Toe Foot. I quilt all of my quilts with the AcuFeed Flex foot and I want to have a clear view of my needle while doing so.

The Acufeed flex foot Open toe foot is compatible with ALL of our Janome machines that have the Acufeed flex feature: Skyline S9, S7, S6, MC8200, MC8900, MC6700P, MC9400, MC9450, Mc12000, MC15000, Continental M7.  If you do not have a Janome with Acufeed flex, you can still use an Open toe walking foot. Please ask your dealer about our open toe walking feet (or even feed feet) options that are available for most of our Janome sewing machines (low shank and high shank models and 7mm and 9mm model machines – we have you covered!).

When stitching in the ditch I can see exactly where my needle is landing. In the video I am stitching in the ditch with a decorative stitch. It works equally as well with a straight stitch.

When quilting a design it is important to be able to stop accurately and the view that this foot gives me ensures excellent results.

I made many freestanding angels as ornaments, a beautiful angel holding hearts and a greeting.. saying Let Go 2020 Let God. Both my 1200o and my 10000 handled the task perfectly!

What a great idea. I’m going to have to purchase the open toe foot for my AcuFeed! Makes it much easier to see where I’m going with that needle. Thanks for the info. I absolutely love that little…not sure what to call it…”mini place mat thingy”!!?? in the photo for cookies and mug. I just might have to make some of these for gifts throughout the year. Beautiful!

  3. I use the open toe foot on my AcuFeed all the time now. I like being able to see where I’m stitching. I love the AcuFeed foot – it’s probably my favorite feature on my Skyline S7!
