Janome Canada Education has been offering virtual classes on Instagram – @janomecanada – Janome Life You Tube channel and through our Janome Canada dealers since The pandemic effectively “grounded” us. As we are unable to see our Janome customers at shows and at our Dealer’s stores, we are offering the next best thing…….virtual classes. Feedback has been very positive and more and more dealers are participating and registering their customers to attend these classes.
We have offered COVERHEMMING with Janome several times and are pleased to let you know we will be offering this 3 part class again next month – on Wednesday 3rd, 10th and 17th February at 2-4 pm eastern time each of these 3 dates. Each class is 2 hours long and we cover a lot of good information and expert tuition in this 6 hour course of 3 classes. You also get the opportunity to ask us questions in real time AND you also get a link to a video of each of the 3 classes to watch as many times as you wish for the next 6 months!! How’s that for a great deal??
If you own a Janome 2000CPX, 1000CPX, 900CPX or the Elna Easy Cover, this class may be just what you need. We explain how to use all the knobs and dials, how to thread up, and the various types of stitches ( triple, 2 thread wide, 2 thread narrow and Chain stitch). We also demo all of the Optional accessories available for our coverhem machines.
This is a great opportunity to explore all that your Coverhem serger can do as well as discover tips and tricks to make your Coverpro “sing” and give you that professional Coverhem stitching you need and want for your sewing.

Yes, the 3 parts of this class build upon the previous class and should be taken in order. The class is already quite full. However, if you contact one of the participating Janome Canada dealers as soon as possible, you may be able to register for the 3 classes. Part 1 (taught yesterday) was recorded and the dealer can send you the link to the recording to watch before next Wed 10th February. As these classes are packed with information, we would not be able to cover Part 1 content again in part 2 so it would be essential to watch the Part 1 video before attending Part 2.

Hi Pat,
As it is a virtual class, yes, conceivably you can. However you will first need to register for the class with one of the dealers on the list (the participating Janome Canada dealers are on the link in this blog post). You will also need to figure out your time zone in relation to the advertised class time which is 2-4pm Eastern – I think that is sometime in the evening in the UK? Please note that this class is aimed at beginners and is taught in 3 parts. Please read the class description for more information on what is covered in this class – Coverpro anatomy, threading, stitch programs as well as optional accessories which you may, or may not, already own.

Janome Life is an education forum managed and published by the Janome Canada Education team. These virtual classes are being offered through participating Janome Canada dealers – as explained in this blog post. The Janome America team does offer a considerable amount of support with their education team : Facebook Lives, You Tube and more. However, you may register for this Coverhem class. As explained in the blog post, you will need to register with one of the participating Janome Canada dealers listed in the post. If they have space, they will send you the class information and log on code once you have registered and paid the class fee. You will need to log on at the advertised time making sure you adjust to your time zone.
