And, don’t worry about which embroidery machine you have, which model, or even by which manufacturer – the Artistic Digitizer program is compatible with practically all of them; including the Janome Artistic Edge Cutter.
MAC users will rejoice to learn that the Artistic Digitizer software was built on the MAC platform, so it’s compatible with BOTH Windows and MAC operating systems! Another bonus is that the software can be loaded onto multiple computers; there’s no dongle to break or to loose! Only one device can be logged into the software at one time, however, but it’s so easy to log in and log out with the security key built-in to the software.
Built-in HELP is a click away! Not only is the Instruction Manual built-in to the software, and is printable if you choose, there’s over a hundred video tutorials right on the welcome screen!

Anne Hein, Janome America Software Specialist has been the “go to” expert since the start of the pandemic last year, with regular LIVE presentations on Artistic Digitizer, all of which are available for review at your leisure. Play, Pause, Rewind, and Stop as needed to follow along step-by-step.

hi, how do i get it, i downloaded but, asked to enter the serial number, i really want this software, i have a janome mc550, and it’s incomplete if i don’t have this artistic digitizer,

Hello! As stated in the post, the free trial ended at the end of May, but you may purchase the software through any of our Janome Dealers. You will receive the activation code/serial number with your purchase. Your MC550E runs independently without the software. You can still take advantage of all the terrific features of your machine, but the Artistic Digitizer software is indeed an excellent add-on to allow you to create and edit your own designs. Last year, Janome offered a free trial of Artistic Digitizer in May and October. This year, we again had a free trial offer in May, so it’s quite possible Janome will offer the free trial again in October, but that has not been officially announced yet. If a free trial is offered again, we will for sure post all the details here, as always! Stay Tuned!

Forgive me if this sounds lame… I thought the artistic digitizer was a sewing machine. For the first time with this post I see that it is software. Does that mean it some how works with my janome skyline 7?
Could you explain what’s involved for using this software

Hi Carolyn,
The Artistic Digitizer is an embroidery digitizing software. The software can be installed on a PC or a Mac where you create embroidery designs to stitch on an embroidery machine. The Skyline S7 is not an embroidery machine, it is a sewing machine.

Does this only work with embroidery machines?

HI Peggy. While the Artistic Digitizer software is designed primarily to work with embroidery machines, it’s also compatible with our Artistic Edge Cutter and the Pro Stitcher Premium software for the Janome longarm machines, like the Janome QMP18 and Janome QMP16, so it’s quite a versatile software package.

This is great however, is there any news about what Janome Canada, USA, Wilcom International is going to do about people who own Digitizer MBX 5 and 5.5 in the near future when they are no longer supporting this software. I have owned my Digitizer since it came out and have purchased every upgrade over 18 years up to Version 5. You can imagine how much money I have spent over 18 years. I want to know how I will have control over my software, that is the entire software program on a thumb drive and no HASP (security) requirements when support is no longer available with Janome Canada, USA or Wilcom International. Have you heard anything about this as I understand there is an announcement coming from Janome supposedly sometime this month. Thanks janomeman!

Just wondering, can I run this free trial of AD on the same lap top as I currently have the Jr. version installed on? Sure hope so as I am trying to decide on whether to upgrade the software from the Jr version to the full version of AD. This will be a great way to make my decision. Something tells me it won’t be a difficult decision to make thought 🙃.
