I live in BC and we have been inundated with severe weather last year and the new year doesn’t seem to be much better. The lower mainland doesn’t do well with winter conditions and we have had about a foot of snow and now ice rain.

The news reports say, “Stay home if you can.” Translation for me says “SEW DAY!” I thought I would play with my Janome Memory Craft 550E Embroidery Machine. With the weather, I thought snow themed. I bought the indoor Snowman Snowball pattern from Embroidery Garden, I love the different faces and expressions as I have a lot of cheeky young adults in my life and knew they would have sew much fun with them.

Four different colours of thread and they are stitched! With the large 14.2″x7.9″ embroidery hoop, you can stitch multiple designs in one hooping, which saves time and stabilizer. You can make them out of felt, flannel, fleece or something else that is soft, and the instructions are easy to follow. I stuffed them with scraps of batting from my quilting stash.

These are super fun to make and a great gift idea for a little snow fun, without the frost bite.
