At first, I did not see the usefulness of a light table as a sewing tool, but by testing it, I found that it had become essential for me for several applications. Here are some of them:
To trace lines of a particular size of a multi-scale pattern:

2. To easily transfer marks from the pattern; darts, notches, dots, etc. directly on the fabric:
Shine the light table under the fabric to transfer markings directly on the fabric, even dark fabric

4. To choose the right thread colours coordinated to the fabric:
The clarity of the light of the tablet is of great help for seeing the true colour
5. To assemble the embroidery template or PDF pattern:

There is even a transparent and very good quality 11″ x 17″ cutting mat available separately to be placed directly on the light table in order to cut fabric and templates without marking.

9. To finger-press open the seam allowances directly on the cutting mat or the light table:
Supports the pressure of a finger or small tool (NO HOT IRON) to open the seams, while the light helps detect any folds or creases in the fabric
10. For optimal lightning in the bed/throat space of your sewing machine:
Simply place the light table behind the machine to shine more light where you need it
À cause des imprévus de la vie, j'ai changé de carrière très tôt dans ma jeune vie d'adulte. Toute mon éducation scolaire, du primaire au secondaire et jusqu'au professionnel, m'a été enseignée par les religieuses CND qui étaient... très exigeantes. Ces professeurs m'ont inculqué le goût de bien apprendre, l'appréciation du travail bien fait et l'envie de toujours me perfectionner.
