Quilt Canada “Reconnected” is being held in Vancouver at the Convention Center this year. June 15th – 18th, 2022. There will be Quilts, Classes, Lectures, Fabric, Notions, Sewing Machines and best of all us! The entire Janome Canada Education Team! That’s right we will all be in attendance. Some of us meeting in person for the first time.
We are all counting the sleeps until we are there! It is going to be so much fun!
We really enjoy engaging with you, our Janome fans and friends, and showing you all the new things Janome has to offer, like the fabulous Janome Continental M17 and, making it’s DEBUT at Quilt Canada, the NEW Janome Quilt Maker 15!
Before the show happens, the Education Team has been busy making unique decor for the Janome booth, which will be a cute, and useful edition to our sewing rooms. I will give you a sneak peek!
This is just one piece of what we are making. I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but I can tell you these are decorative stitches that are on the Janome Continental M17, as well as many other Janome machines.
I used Maderia Contona multi-coloured thread in shades of green with a touch of blue. It sews beautifully and is a good compliment to the gorgeous Kimberly Einmo Solid-ish fabric from Timeless Treasures we all used. Many of you know Kimberly as Janome America’s National Spokesperson!
I love using decorative stitches as they always add so much character and detail to anything you are making. I love the contrast with the yellow thread and the purple fabric. Tip: Keep an eye on your thread and bobbin thread, especially. Some of these stitches use a lot of thread and you don’t want to run out of thread at an important point on your project. Ask me how I know, lol!
You will have to come to our Janome booth to see the final product, as well as to test drive a variety of machines before you take one – or more – home with you! We would love to meet you in person!

Oh gosh so close yet so far. I am promised to work at a friends quilt shop during “shop hop”here in the states or I would have come up to the show. But thank you for letting us know about the show. Hope to meet you all someday. Giuliana
