I live in Perth, Western Australia and I just love watching all of your videos such as the A-Z ones. (Great distractions when I’m ironing!) I’ve had a Janome My Style 655 for over 30 years and recently bought a MC9850. I still use my old one because it still works perfectly. But watching your videos and reading your newsletters has helped me get to know my machine much better and encouraged me to use a huge variety of its functions. I sew in all my free time. My grandchildren have many items from Nanny now. From clothing to toys and other things. So thank you Michael and all the other Janome experts. Please keep the entertainment and the education coming.
❤️ Karen
PS I’m now after a new overlocker. 🤞🏼

Omgoodness! Thank you sew much for sharing the Janome love, all the way over in Australia! I’ve always wanted to visit! Feedback like yours is one reason I love my job and want to continue to do better and do MORE to help everyone get the most from their Janome machines and accessories. The good part of technology is that it’s connected us around the globe so we can all share and learn from each other.
Thank you sew much for your continued support and encouragement and thank you for sharing the Janome Love!

I have just the M17 and so excited to get started sewing again. Are the feet available that are not included in the fabric box that came with the machine

Hi Jean. Yes, there’s lots of specialty presser feet are available from Janome Dealers. I demonstrated all the additional presser feet; the 3-way Cording foot H and Piping Foot I, for example, in the “A to Z with Janome” Instagram Live series, which is also on the Janome HQ You Tube channel. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLS-vHyagYeUVWtgCSd4c0jHsAbr2aUfq6

I have just returned from my Janome dealer where I intended to purchase the new feet. However, I was put into shock when I saw the price of them! $82.50????? When I approached the salesperson, she told me that she had been just as shocked. The store had ordered one of each of these new feet but, after realizing the outrageous price, they have decided to special order only. So, my collection of 9mm feet will have to be without the new feet until the prices become much more reasonable.

Hi Cory, Janome Canada offers special savings; special packages to our dealers from time to time, and individual dealers will offer their own special sales promotions, so perhaps specialty presser feet will be among the offer down the road. Costs of everything have increased the last two years, but Janome presser feet specifically remain competitively priced amongst other brands. Some are more, some are less, but if one is not in the budget, that’s totally ok, too! Specialty Presser Feet aren’t a necessity; there’s usually a workaround, but they sure do make the sewing task much easier. Happy Sewing!

In the e-mail message I received, the Lap-Seam Foot is described twice and the Bi-Level Foot is not described at all.

Absolutely none in my area. I’d pay shipping if I could find them anywhere. Any ideas in the states or even Canada?

HI Julie! The “Where to Buy” tab on Janome.CA lists all the Janome Canada dealers. Any dealer can order these presser feet as they’re in stock in our Janome Canada warehouse. Some dealers do indeed offer to ship, even across the country, but you’d have to check with the individual dealer. Start with those closest to you and go from there. Happy Sewing!

Which models are 9mm machines? You’ve listed several and then it says “and MORE”. I can’t find the answer looking online with several different search questions.

Hi Ann!
Current machine models are on Janome.CA. They list by function – sewing, embroidery, sergers, etc. and by Stitch Width. https://janome.ca/en-ca/products/machines/ When in doubt, measure the width of the zig zag needle plate opening to see if it’s 9mm, 7mm or 5mm. Happy Sewing!

Hey Michael , Thanks for your outstanding videos that always keep us excited about what is new and exciting in the Janome world. PLEASE tell Janome to make some medium sized hoops for our new M17 machines. SO many embroidery designs are within the 8×12 field size and we really a hoop to accommodate that. Would also love an 8×8 or 9×9 square hoop. Just throwing it out there. I’ll buy every one!!! Have a great day! Marilyn Reames

HI Marilyn! Thank you for your feedback. Usually everyone wants bigger hoops, especially if you’d like to combine and edit designs. We all appreciate hoops close in size to our design, however, as we all want to save stabilizer. I’ll definitely pass the feedback along. the CM17 will be with us for many, many years so we always appreciate having more! Happy Sewing!
