Help hints for threading Janine 3160, following instructions but not working

HI Daisy! Thank you for your suggestion for upcoming ASK Janome HQ topics. I have a few threading hints in this video on Janome HQ https://youtu.be/0CHAiuIHHj4 which might help you out. Be sure your needle is all the way up in the needle bar, and if it’s a Janome or Organ needle you’re using. A needle from another manufacturer might have the eye too low or too high than Janome needles, so the needle threader may not work as well with those. Also weight of thread – 30 and over should be threaded by hand. Happy Sewing!

Your recent recommendation for thread are over 30 weight, so on your original email you said “Also weight of thread- 30 and over should be thread by hand.” Didn’t you mean 30 and under. Thank you for the accessories catalog, already found any interesting lamp. Sent from Spinner’s phone

HI Daisy, thread numbering is odd, the higher the number the finer the thread. The lower the number, the thicker the thread. Threads 30wt, or thicker, like 28wt, 12wt, etc. should be threaded by hand. Threads finer than 30wt, like a 40wt, 50wt, 60wt, 80wt, 90wt and 100wt are all ok to use the built-in needle threaders.
I’m sew happy you enjoyed the Janome Partner Products Accessories Guide! There is indeed lots of goodies to be had to make sewing easier and more enjoyable, like the Daylight Lamps! Happy Sewing!
