Today is November 11th, a day of reflection and pride as we honor the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed to keep our country strong and free.
Put your Janome embroidery machine to good use and stitch this Poppy with pride. You’ll find the FREE JEF (Janome Embroidery File) in the INSPIRE tab on Janome.CA AND Janome.COM.
While there are many ways to help show your support, one cause particularly near and dear to my heart, and Janome Canada’s, is the Quilts of Valour – Canadian Society; an organization which distributes quilts to men and women in the Canadian Armed Forces. Over 17,000 quilts have been gifted, including the one in the photo below which I made several years ago using the Oh Canada line of fabric from Northcott Fabrics. Part of the proceeds from the fabric sales is donated to the QOV.
Janome Canada has also partnered with Quilts of Valour – Canada Society by creating the special Janome 3160 QOV-C (Quilts of Valour – Canada) sewing machine. Proceeds from the sale of the machine are donated to QOV.
For more on the Janome 3160QOV-C machine, watch the Janome HQ Instagram Live presentation HERE.
Perhaps this weekend you’ll show your Canadian Pride making this stunning paper pieced OH! Canada pillow by uber talented artist, Tamara Kate. You’ll find this, and several of Tamara’s projects in the INSPIRE tab of Janome.CA.
Lest we forget.
