Since I have to choose just one, I’d have to say it’s the Janome Sew Comfortable No-Slip Foot Pedal Pad. It’s so simple yet has made such a difference in my over-all sewing experience.
How many times have you been sewing, and the foot pedal slides all over the floor, out of reach? You reach around with your foot hoping to snag the cord and bring it back closer to you but end up sliding further out of your chair. Sound familiar? When that doesn’t work, you have to stop, get out of your chair, get on your hands and knees on the floor to go find it, which isn’t so easy for some of us. And let’s not even talk about getting up again! That is a miracle in itself! lol!
What if you never had to do that again? Think of how much time and frustration you’d save if you didn’t have to struggle with a wondering foot pedal every time you sat down to sew. Perhaps you’d even like one for yourself, but not sure that “special someone” will get one for you. You could do as I do. I buy my own gifts and give them to my husband to wrap. This way I get exactly the size, colour, style and product that I want, and I’m surprised when I open them. Unless, of course, he forgets to even bring them out of the closet, as he actually did one year! Now I remind him. lol!
