It seems like just yesterday but it was this time last year that the Janome 2022 Quilt Along started. My goal was to have a quilt along with plenty of learning, especially having participants gain the confidence to quilt their own quilts on their home sewing machines.
I almost always exclusively quilt my quilts with a walking/ even feed/ dual feed foot, specifically the AcuFeed Flex Dual/Twin Food Holder on my Janome MC6700P or on the Janome MC9450QCP. This quilt along was also a learning experience for me; dusting off my free motion quilting skills and using ‘almost’ new to me ruler work. I hope you were able to quilt along and learn some new skills too.
Did you know that all the posts will remain up indefinitely? That means if you did not participate at the time, or didn’t finish, you can go back at anytime to work on it at your own pace. All you need to do is visit JanomeLife.ca and type ‘Janome Quilt Along 2022‘ in the Search box.

Thank you to Mary and Glenda who are allowing me to share their work. Didn’t they do a great job?
This quilt was made by Mary Edwards. The layout of the blocks is great, I wish I had thought of it!
Mary said, “It was a good exercise to increase skill and creativity.”

Look at how the colours sing in this quilt made by Glenda C.
Glenda said, “I love learning a new techniques and it was done in time for gift giving.”
If you would like to share your quilts, you can email me at marginet@live.ca.
