YES! It’s that time again!
Continuing with Janome Canada’s ongoing partnership with the national Canadian organization, I Love First Peoples, which brings the love and joy of sewing to remote indigenous schools across Canada, we’re once again asking for YOUR help collecting much-needed sewing supplies.
Two years ago we held a donation drive which, thanks to your very generous support, resulted in over 3000 pounds of fabric and sewing supplies being shipped to various remote indigenous communities across the country. You can read all about the donation drive and the sorting process HERE.
Check out our Janome Canada website for the list of Janome Canada Dealers who are acting as Donation Drop Off collection locations, though you may also mail your donations to our head office, the Janome Sewing and Learning Centre in Oakville, Ontario, as well. Drop off your donation in person (our address is written in the poster above) Monday to Friday between 9am-4pm.
PLEASE NOTE: In person donations will NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER FRIDAY, APRIL 28th!
We’re on a tight deadline this year, so we appreciate your efforts to help bring the love of sewing to the schools in the I Love First People’s Sew and Sew program. If dropping off or mailing in a donation isn’t feasible, perhaps consider making a financial contribution to the ILFP directly on their website. There’s many ways to help!
We have more exciting news to share with I Love First Peoples in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
Thank you SEW much for sharing the love!
Is this program going on in BC?

Hello! Donations can be mailed to the Janome Sewing and Learning Centre in Oakville, Ontario, but if that’s too cost prohibitive, financial donations can be made directly to I Love First Peoples on their website. https://www.ilovefirstpeoples.ca/ as well.
