You may be aware that the opening screen of the new Version 2 MC15000 has a purple/blue colouring instead of the turquoise/green colours on the Mc15000 version 1. Also the colour purple turns up in a few other places such as the shiny lining of the NEW black accessory tote. So…..we felt a bunch of Purple Parties coming on! From early September 2014 we have been hosting Purple Parties at many of our Mc15000 dealers across Canada.

So what did we do at our Purple Parties? All summer long, we worked steadily to produce a brand new set of samples in a purple colour theme. We had garments, baby clothing, quilts, home dec items like placemats, table runners, embellished towels, pillow cases, and more. We offered our Janome customers a great Show & Tell event with lots of information about machine features, feet & accessories with demo’s and how-to’s for selected feet & projects. We will share some of the project ideas & samples in upcoming blog posts.
Thanks to Perry at Snip and Stitch, Nanaimo for all his work putting up the purple balloons & decorations……what a party atmosphere!
Many of our dealers entered into the spirit of our Purple Party theme by decorating with purple balloons + offering purple paper plates, napkins and even cup cakes with purple icing at their refreshment tables! We asked customers to come dressed in purple if they wished and at some stores there were special door prizes for customers who had come dressed in the party spirit. It was such fun.
Purple flowers…door prizes…..even purple forks for the goodies. This was at KW Sewing Center in Kitchener – Waterloo, Ontario. Thanks, Sonja, for the lovely purple themed decorations.

I received my mc15000 v.2 nearly a week ago & have had a very intense week familiarising myself with it. I do love that purple pattern on the opening screen but I can’t seem to find it in the built-in designs. Do you know where I could find it?

The signature design is the first design in the GR hoop category of the built in designs.
Have fun embroidering it – it is rather lovely.
