Janome Coverstitching

I was recently ‘noodling” around looking for something unrelated but landed on this website: www.thelaststitch.com.  Now while this Swedish lady, Johanna,  may not be an official Janome spokesperson (I don’t know if she is or not?), I was quite impressed with some of the information and advice she has to offer on her website. Here is a link to a great video where she offers 8 Do’s and Don’ts for coverstitching. She points to our Janome Coverhem model in her video – I believe I read somewhere on her website or blog that she has switched to using our Janome Coverhem. YAY! We know why.

Do you own a Janome Coverhem machine?

Have you read the Instruction manual?

Have you been to your Dealer for your owner’s lessons?

More often than not, when I encounter someone who is not having a fun time with one of our machines, the answers to the above questions are “no”. Is it any small wonder then that we often set ourselves up for frustration? So when I stumbled across this website, I thought I’d share it with you as she really does offer some very good points and advice which we may –  or may not –  be following  in this video.

And you might also like to do a search for Janome Coverpro or coverhems in the search box on our janomelife home page – we have done many posts over the years on these great and very popular Janome machines. And Janome Canada artisan Chrystal from Chrystalclearrr (she has a line of the most adorable baby and childrens wear) has been doing great informative posts once a quarter for us for quite a few years……so there is good information already available for you to become firm amd fast friends with your Janome Coverpro machine!

In case you are interested or do not know, we offer 3 Janome coverhem models here in Canada: The one immediately above here is the 900CPX which comes with 2 needles; the 1000CPX above that which has 3 needles and our deluxe 2000CPX (top pic) which has 3 needles, more features: LED lighting, different ergonimic shape and bigger flat bed and our great Tension release system: the soft/tight lever. Do check out our website or your local Janome dealer if you need more information.

I follow this site all the time. She is great. She wrote a book called Master the Coverstitch recently released last year. Full of great information, and yes she uses a Janome. She is the person who convinced me to buy a Janome Coverstitch and I love it. Jacquie
