LIZ’S FAV MC15000 FEATURES: PART 2 – ACCESSORY CASE

I am LOVING  the wonderful ACCESSORY CASE  that comes with the JANOME HORIZON MC 15000……………….. sleek, classy, 3 layers of  easy lift-out trays in a convenient and zippered tote case.

Accessory Case

  • There are slots for ALL the standard accessory feet which come with the machine as well as extra slots specially for the optional accessories for this machine. The slots are all labelled with the foot code: eg OD for the Acufeed flex 1/4 inch foot.
  • Note the very handy spot for storing bobbins in the front of the top tray – complete with non-slip lining to keep those bobbins in place!
  • The accessory case is beautifully padded with shiny turquoise fabric and has semi-hidden pockets in the inside front for the Acufil hoop magnets plus space inside the padded lid for larger items like the cloth guide. The lid padding is velcro’ed in place so is very easy to open & store items under the lid.
  • The middle tray has designated spots for the single hole needle plate; Acuview magnifier as well as the 2 extra magnifiers; yellow dot bobbin case; quilting guide; “hump jumper” etc.
  • The bottom tray has a whole lot of compartments to store a whole bunch of other items like the bobbin cleaner; scissors, spool caps, screw driver & what-have-you.

I just ordered and received the accessory case that I will use with my 12000. I have filled it and am VERY happy. I really hated having all the feet and accessories sliding around, plus I was afraid I would lose the little clear feet because they didn’t have a secure place. Very happy with this case!

Will this case work with my Janome Horizon Memory Craft 7700’s feet?

      Hi Karen,

Your 7700 has 7mm wide openings on the feet and these accessory totes were made for 9mm models. However, I tried a few of the 7mm feet and they fit, just not sticking up out of the slot for the foot as high as the 9mm ones.
And obviously, some of the slots in these accessory cases are not applicable for 7mm models such as the QC; QV & QO feet, etc
But I think most of the tote would be great for storing feet from many different Janome models just so long as you understand that not every slot will be applicable or the exact correct size for 7mm feet.

  3. Will this case be suitable for other accessories like the Pfaff attachments ?

      Hi Margie,

I doubt it as the spaces in the 3 trays are specifically sized for our Janome feet. Different brand feet more than likely would not be the same shape/size. Sorry.

how can I order a case like this one. I have a 12000 and would love to have a case to store my extra accessories in?

      Hi Ann,
I have made enquiries as you are not the only person to ask this question. I am happy to tell you that it will be available as an optional accessory in due course. We do NOT have these yet in Canada. We do not have an ETA for this item in Canada but my best guess would be sometime in the New Year towards the Spring.

If you live in another country, you would need to check availability, ETA and price with your local Janome dealer. The part # is 202222002. Please bear in mind, that each country is a separate subsidiary and may (or may not) order all the items that are available.

      Happy sewing & happy Christmas.

I wondered about the lid,if you could store stuff there. Thank you!

      Hi Carol,
Yes you can. Check out the 3rd bullet point on this blog post again – it explains how you peel apart the velcro to store stuff underneath.
If you mean in the top of the flip top lid of the MC 15000, yes, there is also a clever little storage part there too – I call it the temporary storage box.
