Designed to work exclusively with our Janome Oscillating/ Front Loading Hook models, which generally means the 5mm mechanical machines, this Janome Spool Stand allows you to conveniently use larger spools and cones of thread. Included are two cone adaptors which prevent the cone of thread from moving around on the spool pin.
Examples of Oscillating/ Front Loading Hook models include the Janome HD1000/HD1000BE
and the deliciously new Janome Purple Majesty! Who wouldn’t love to sew on a purple sewing machine? I want one! lol!
Many other Janome machines use spool stands, as well, such as the Janome Continental M17.

Is there a spool stand for the 5300 QDC?

Hello! Most of the spool stands will attach to the back to the back of the machine with the screws already in the machine. For those machines without the screws however, or, just for convenience sake, some of the spool stands can clip over the handle of the machine instead. Check with your Janome dealer to see what spool stands they have in stock and if they have a QDC model on their sales floor. Perhaps they’d agree to test out if the spool stand could clip over the handle before you purchase. I don’t have one hear to test out for myself. Happy Sewing!
