Introducing Janome Jump Start!

In our ongoing efforts to help you get the most from your Janome machines and accessories; to share more of the Janome love, we’re thrilled to announce a brand new series here on Janome Life called Janome Jump Start!

Starting Monday, November 1st, Janome Jump Start will debut as a monthly series, with a new blog post published the first Monday of every month.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve seen a huge increase in sewing and continue to welcome new and returning sewists into this wonderful creative world of sewing/ quilting/ embroidery/ crafting.

Janome Jump Start will be specifically geared to YOU, the beginner, but no matter what your experience level, or how many years you’ve been sewing, there may be a few little tips and tricks you pick up along the way, too, so everyone can share in the love! Topics will include learning the anatomy of a sewing machine; winding the bobbin; learning what needle to select, and why; information every sewist needs, so the Janome Jump Start series will be your jump start to sewing success no matter which machine(s) you have!

Celebrate Janome’s 100th Anniversary with this limited edition models available from your Janome Dealer.

Speaking of sharing the love, Janome Jump Start is a collaboration between Janome Canada and our Janome America colleagues, or as I refer to them, my southern Janome cousins, lol. Although we are two distinct companies, there are times we can blend and share our resources so that we can share MORE education, MORE projects, and MORE FUN with our Janome fans in North America and around the world.

The Janome Jump Start posts will be written by JP Alfano, Janome America’s National Accounts Project Specialist, who some of you may remember from watching his Facebook Live presentations on the Janome HD-9 on the Janome Sewing Machines Facebook page. JP is a master leather craftsman and uses his Janome HD-9 Professional to create some fabulous leather projects; aprons, tote bags, travel bags, etc.

Watch JP’s introductory video and be sure to Follow us on Janome Life so you don’t miss any of the Janome Jump Start posts, debuting next Monday, November 1st, 2021!

Hi Michael, this sounds wonderful! How will it be presented? I’m not on Facebook so wondering if it will be on YouTube. Thanks for all your interesting and informative posts.

Hi Kathy! Thank you sew much for your feedback. The Janome Jump Start blogs will be posted to Janome Life the first Monday of every month, so Facebook and You Tube won’t be required. If there is a link to video, it will likely be on You Tube, though we’ll try to embed shorter videos into the blog post itself to avoid having to click elsewhere. Thank you for sharing the Janome Love!

This is so timely! We’re looking for a starter machine for our young grand-daughter and we’d like to do the online lessons here at our place with her.
Can you tell me if any local Toronto dealers have any of the starter/beginner machines shown in your post currently in stock or are they also coming out later? Several stores are currently marked as limited due to the Pandemic closures. My usual Janome dealer is closed. Thanks!

Oh yay! This is fabulous! Janome has LOTS of entry-level/ beginner machines, including the special Anniversary Edition machines. You’re best to call the dealer’s store as yes, many of them have adjusted their hours. The individual dealers will also be able to tell you which machines they have in their stores. Most would have a good selection of entry to mid-level machines on hand or could order from our warehouse. Happy Sewing!

Hello! I can give you the heads up that the Skyline S6 will be one of the machines coming up on Janome HQ’s Janome’s Magical Machine Mystery Tour! Look for upcoming posts on Janome Life, as well! In the meanwhile, you may review the presentation of the Skyline S7 as those machines are quite similar. https://youtu.be/knoRInRAlbA Happy Sewing!
