A new year often means the start of new projects, or a time to finish those already started the year before. In either case, the Janome Quilt Along by our fabulous Janome Canada Artisan, Melissa Marginet, is an ideal project as you work on it at your own pace.
We announced the Janome Quilt Along last January , then each month Melissa posted instructions, complete with an accompanying video, to piece together and quilt various blocks.
As you’ll see in Melissa’s completed sample quilt, the blocks are quilted using a variety of techniques, so it’s a terrific project to help you learn more about your machine and to learn different quilting techniques.
Perhaps you were following along last year, but got side-tracked by other commitments. Don’t you hate it when everyday life gets in the way of your sewing?!?
We have the best of intensions, but distractions/ illness/ travel/ etc. happens to us all at one point or another, so the good thing is that all of the instructions and videos for each month’s Janome Quilt Along are stored forever on the Janome Life blog.
