Adding piping to bags with the Janome Adjustable Zipper Foot

I often hear from bag makers about their fear of sewing piping. This video tutorial shows you how easy it is to add piping into the seams of your bags.

The Janome HD9 professional does not have a dedicated piping foot, however, you can use Janome’s Adjustable Zipper Foot which comes with the Janome HD Leather kit to achieve the same result. The Janome Adjustable Zipper Foot is also available in a separate blister pack and is available for several machines, so be sure to consult your Janome Dealer to get the correct one for your machine.

In the following video tutorial, I am using my free Lilac Mini Messenger bag pattern which has piping along the flap’s outer edge as well as the exterior body’s seam. This little bag is the perfect project to practice and perfect your piping skills!

Happy Sewing!

    Bonjour,
